Webdesign: HTML and CSS Concepts
This course contains a series of Tutorial, assignmment and examples designed to help understand how to use HTML and CSS when producing webistes.
In Level 3 Digital Media you will study the techniques that surround the creation of modern digital media. The course covers advanced multimedia techniques, computer programming, and societal issues related to ICT. The course is practically based with one major project that is divided into two parts.
Digital Media Applications and technologies taught will depend on students choice of project and could include:
- Current Issues in ICT.
- Project Management
- Web Media: Website Design and Development (HTML/CSS) and use of Adobe Dreamweaver
- Print Media: Graphic Design and Layout for Print using Adobe Photoshop / Fireworks and InDesign.
- Web Based Interactivity with Adobe Flash and basic Action Script.
- Programming: Understand and construct simple scripts using Java Script to enable website interactivity.
- Web Media: Database Design and Development using MySQL/PHP
In Level 2 Digital Mediayou will study the techniques that surround the creation of modern digital media. - Print Media (1): Layout Principles for Word Processing and Desktop Publishing.
- Print Media (2): Editing and creating Images with Adobe Photoshop.
- Spreadsheets: Creating Spreadsheets to model data with Microsoft Excel.
- 3D Modelling: Design and Modelling in 3D using Google SketchUp.
- Web Media: Website Design and the use of Adobe Dreamweaver.
- Animation: Creating simple animations using Adobe Flash.
In Year 9 Information and Communication Technology you will study the techniques that surround the creation of modern digital media. Digital Media Applications and technologies taught include:
- The Technology Design Process
- Using ICT to Create: Using MS Word, MS Publisher and Graphics applications to create and design.
- Using ICT to Research: Using the Internet to collect data, MS Excel to anaylse data and MS Powerpoint to present data.
- Using ICT to Communicate: Understand how digit media is communicate through the use of technology
